Exporting the data room is done easily via the export page within the data room. For administrators on the seller side, this is also where export permissions are managed. It is possible to restrict export access for all users, grant export access to all users, or assign permissions on a per-user basis.
As an administrator on the seller side, you can control who has access to export the data room.
(I) Disabled for all You can choose to disable export permissions for all users in the data room. This also means that any new users added to the data room must be manually granted export access if needed.
(II) Enabled for all You can choose to enable export permissions for all users in the data room. If this setting is enabled, any new users added to the data room will automatically have access to export the data room.
(III) Custom You can select specific users who should have access to export. This is done by checking users in the list, and any new users added to the data room must be manually selected to receive export permissions.
When exporting, you can choose between export for Windows operating system or Mac operating system. The difference between these options is that the Windows export automatically shortens long folder and file names to avoid known issues related to excessive path lengths, which can prevent the .zip file from being extracted.
